DBmaestro is a long-running database DevOps suite: release automation, policy, and often an on-prem footprint aimed at enterprises that already bought a release-management story. Migratrix is a managed control plane with an outbound-only agent. We do not claim feature-for-feature parity with every DBmaestro module.
Enterprise release automation, policy packs, and a vendor used to on-prem procurement.
Conversion Studio (including CDC on four engines), Drift Monitor, Risk Assessment against repos, MCP with confirmation-gated tools, Explorer, and a public engine matrix that admits Partial and No. Audit is hash-chained with Merkle seals.
If you need a specific DBmaestro policy pack, on-prem control plane, or an existing DBmaestro estate, switching for its own sake is the wrong project. Evaluate Migratrix when you want modelled cross-engine migration, an agent that does not store passwords in our cloud, or MCP access for assistants.
Governance and release are the overlap. Conversion Studio, the honest 17-engine matrix, and the agent boundary are the usual reasons teams look at Migratrix instead of, or beside, a release-automation suite.
Migratrix cells are what the product does today. DBmaestro cells are the usual shape of that product, not a sourced datasheet. Confirm anything marked "ask them" on their site.
